The Young Nomads are always pleased to gain new technical members, and what better
place to show off your talents, or gain experience, than in a very well equipped
amateur theatre. The theatre where we are based, the
Nomad Theatre,
includes a revolving stage, fly tower with hand and counterweight lines, 48 channel
lighting rig, and a powerful surround sound system.
Technical roles available within the Young Nomads include:
- Lighting designers and operators
- Sound engineers and operators
- Set designers and builders
- Stage managers and deputy stage managers
- Stage hands
- Fly men
There is also a variety of work at the front of house. For every performance,
we require:
- Two Front of House stewards
- One or two box office staff
- At least two bar staff
If you would like to be more involved in the organisation of a Young Nomad production,
it is also possible to progress to the following roles:
- Director
- Producer
- Musical Director
- Choreographer
- Writer
